Add a recognizable service
Open the catalog
Go to Settings, then Services, and choose Add Service. Enter the required Service Name and add a Description that explains the work.
Set pricing details
Choose Price Type: Fixed, Hourly, or Per Sq Ft. Enter the relevant default or starting price, and a maximum price when the chosen display mode calls for a range.
Choose presentation and tax
Review Color, Price Display, and Tax Rate (%). The Price Display options include Fixed Price, Starting At, Price Range, Request a Quote, and Hidden.
Save the service
Choose Add Service and confirm the entry appears in Your Services. Review its displayed name and pricing before using it in customer work.
Use the service in your workflow
On a job form, Service is optional. Select a catalog entry when it matches the work, then review the job's own description and price. Estimates and invoices also offer service choices for their line items, with quantities and prices that should be checked for the particular customer.
Use names that distinguish different scopes of work. A short, specific service name is easier to choose from a list than several nearly identical entries whose difference is buried in the description.
Review existing entries before adding duplicates
Use Edit service on an existing entry when its details need updating. Managers can create and edit services; deleting a service requires admin access. If a delete control is absent, check with an admin instead of creating a replacement just to work around permissions.
After changing catalog pricing, review the values on any job, estimate, or invoice you are preparing. The amount shown on the document is the amount to verify before sending it to the customer.
