Check the customer's contact details

Open Customers and select the correct customer. Review Contact Info before sharing portal access, especially when several contacts have similar names. The Customer Portal section provides link generation and sending controls for that customer's portal.

The delivery actions depend on the contact information available. Send via Email appears when an email address is present. Send via SMS requires a phone number and SMS availability. If the action you need is missing, check the contact details and the availability of that delivery channel first.

Generate or send the link

  1. Generate a link to share yourself

In Customer Portal, choose Generate Link. When the URL appears, use Copy and share it with the intended customer through your chosen communication channel.

  2. Use the built-in delivery action

Alternatively, choose Send via Email or Send via SMS when available. Verify the saved customer email or phone number before selecting the action.

  3. Review Portal Links

Check the links listed below the controls. The list shows each link's status, creation date, and delivery method when recorded.

Manage active links

Active links have a Revoke action, and Revoke All is available when the customer has active links. Use these controls when the existing links should no longer provide access, then generate or send a new link when needed.

A portal link is intended for that customer. Check the recipient each time you share it and avoid placing it in a public note or shared team document. If a customer reports trouble opening a link, inspect its status and confirm that you are sending a current link from the right customer record.
